**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** This role requires a dedicated individual who understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices. The machine operator will operate food mixing, blending, and packaging machinery to support a food manufacturing facility. The role involves setting up and troubleshooting packaging machines and lines, diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments, and observing machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. **Responsibilities** + Operate food mixing, blending, and packaging machinery. + Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines. + Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. + Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards. + Regulate machine flow or speed. + Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of mixing, blending, and/or packaging machine operator experience. + GMP experience. + Ability to complete changeovers on machinery. + Ability to speak Spanish. + Ability to lift 50 lbs (if blending role). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to assist maintenance team with PMs and minor troubleshooting of machinery. + Mechanically inclined. **Why Work Here** Join an award-winning, best-in-class service provider known for its exceptional flexibility and sophisticated systems. This GMP environment is mostly equipped with gravity-fed high-speed packaging equipment. Almost all products packaged are dry goods, such as powders. The facility is well-lit, spacious, and currently expanding. The shift hours are as follows: 1st Shift from 5:30am - 4:30pm for Blender/Mixer operators and filling/ machine operators, and 2nd Shift from 4:00pm - 3:30am for Blender/Mixer operators and filling/cartoning machine operators. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
