Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for preparing machines for shift start-up or product change, operating auxiliary equipment to manufacture various types and sizes of products, and ensuring that quality and production goals are met. You will also perform troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor and perform the operations of processing equipment for production with minimal supervision.Assist higher-level operators and train lower-level operators.Use measuring equipment to ensure quality specifications are met.Operate material handling and processing equipment for production and replenishment of raw materials.Update shop floor management system when necessary.Spot malfunctions with equipment controls and assist with repairs.Communicate with process and tooling technicians to support equipment and production process analysis.Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.Check workstations for low supplies and transport materials using material handling equipment.Identify raw material types, part numbers, and materials required by reviewing bill of materials.Test and inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and report any discrepancies.Perform non-conforming product procedures and isolate or rework items that do not meet standards.Input accurate data into the quality control system.Perform duties shared with other employees, such as 6S activities, workshops, meetings, and cross-functional training.Essential SkillsKnowledge of basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.Good manual dexterity skills for working with small parts.Ability to perform repetitive functions.Effective communication skills.Ability to interpret work orders, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.High standards of quality and service.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma/equivalent or 6-12 months related experience.Manufacturing experience and mechanical aptitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motions.Solid work history with stable employment duration.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
