**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to apply metal to customer orders and accurately process materials according to work order specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition while maintaining the processing area in an orderly manner. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to complete all required information entry accurately and perform additional tasks as assigned.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
+ Pull, inspect, and verify products before processing.
+ Properly and safely set up equipment to run material to set up note specifications.
+ Process set up notes according to work order specifications.
+ Verify that product meets set up note specifications per written work instructions and record measurements (sampling plan).
+ Communicate with appropriate sales representatives regarding changes/clarifications to orders.
+ Perform equipment preventive maintenance.
+ Enter/delete material identification tags per written instructions.
+ Perform general clean-up and assist in packaging materials per written work instructions and work orders.
+ Maintain issued measurement equipment in working condition.
+ Operate weighing scales properly and record inspection measurements.
+ Identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.
+ Provide feedback regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
+ Complete job responsibilities safely without jeopardizing the safety of oneself or others.
+ Train others when required.
+ Assist in activities related to lean and/or quality improvement.
**Essential Skills**
+ Certified in material handler position.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
+ Ability to read and write.
+ Perform basic math skills.
+ Forklift operation experience.
+ Saw operation with 2+ years of experience.
+ Inventory control skills.
+ Blueprint reading skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry.
+ Experience with hand-held measuring tools.
+ Computer literacy.
+ Experience with saws from similar companies.
+ 3+ years minimum warehouse experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a warehouse and production environment where safety and cleanliness are prioritized. **Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.20 - $22.20/hr.
