**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking five skilled Machine Operators to join our team across multiple shifts. Positions available include Metalizer for 1st shift, Mixing Operator for 2nd shift, and Converting/Slitting Operator for 2nd shift. Each role involves operating specialized machinery, ensuring quality production, and maintaining equipment. **Responsibilities** + Metalizer: Operate vacuum metallizing machines, setup and control panels, align and fasten parts, monitor for defects, inspect and clean machine, manage product handling using carts, pallet jacks or forklifts, and utilize computer skills for production documentation. + Mixing Operator: Setup and operate machines to mix chemicals, apply coatings, emboss and slit rolls, handle materials, record production quantities, conduct quality control checks, perform routine maintenance, and ensure stock availability. + Converter/Slitting Machine Operator: Load and clamp materials onto machines, operate and cut materials as per specifications, inspect and package finished products, and transport materials to shipping areas. + Coating Machine Operator: Operate coater machines based on instructions, inspect coated materials, package and prepare materials for shipping, and perform additional cutting tasks when needed. This role requires heavy lifting. **Essential Skills** + Ability to stand for extended periods + Capability to lift 60+ lbs daily using cranes, hoists, and carts + Metalizer: 5+ years of experience in large machine operation with attention to detail + Mixer: Proficiency in using mix sheets and measuring materials in strong-smelling environments + Converting/Slitting: 1+ years of experience with industrial machines like printing press, converting, and slitting machines **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Slitter or Coating Machines + Experience with continuous material machines + Safety-conscious and aware of surroundings **Why Work Here?** Join a safety-conscious team with a strong tenure on-site. Additional PPE can be provided upon request. The mixing room has a strong smell, similar to a nail salon, and while masks are optional, they are available. Shifts include 1st shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm and 2nd shift: Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:30pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
