Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** The successful candidate will operate manual production machinery and equipment, requiring the ability to read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints. This role involves selecting, positioning, and securing machinery and materials, as well as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials using lifting equipment when available. The candidate will complete and maintain all associated electronic processes and paperwork, including bar-coding, checklists, stamping, blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory lists, and scanning of materials. Additionally, performing pre-shift preventative maintenance and maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards are essential responsibilities. **Responsibilities** + Operate manual production machinery and equipment. + Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints. + Select, position, and secure machinery and materials. + Load, unload, lift, and move materials and products using lifting equipment when available. + Complete and maintain associated electronic processes and paperwork. + Perform pre-shift preventative maintenance. + Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards. **Essential Skills** + Experience in carpentry, woodworking, sheetmetal, manufacturing. + Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and tape measures. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Mechanical assembly and machine operation skills. + Background in metal forming and press brake operations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of the workday. + Capability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch. + Strength to lift and carry 50 lbs and over 50 lbs with assistance. + Ability to climb and balance. + Manual dexterity for tool usage. + Visual inspection skills. + Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment. + Adherence to personal protective equipment requirements. **Work Environment** The work environment is a climate-controlled facility resembling a carpentry setting, equipped with saws, metal forming machines, and heat presses for panels. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a supportive work environment focused on safety and precision, ensuring employees have the necessary tools and equipment to succeed.
