Pay: $18.75/hr **Job Description** The machine operator is responsible for the overall operation of machinery to supply good quality products while meeting deadlines safely. This role includes training and providing general direction to Assistant Machine Operators, assisting with creating SOP and production-related documentation, inventory data-entry, and cross-training into other job functions as needed. Routine attendance to departmental, production, safety, and company meetings is required. **Responsibilities** + Operate machinery to produce quality products and meet deadlines safely. + Train and provide general direction to Assistant Machine Operators. + Assist in creating SOP and production-related documentation. + Perform inventory data-entry. + Cross-train into other job functions as needed. + Operate sit-down forklift and reroller machine in the Conversion department. **Essential Skills** + Forklift operation + Machine operation + 1+ years of manufacturing experience + Machine operation proficiency + Sit-down forklift experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma/GED + 4 years of machine operator/manufacturing experience + Ability to multitask in a stressful environment + Preference for candidates from the paper industry **Work Environment** The work environment is within a rubber manufacturing facility that is not climate controlled, so it may be warm in summer and cool in winter. The facility is organized and has a strong company culture, though working with rubber may result in getting dirty. Shifts include First Shift (Friday: 6:45AM-3:00PM), Second Shift (2:45PM-11:00PM), and Third Shift (Sunday-Thursday: 10:45PM-7:00AM), with occasional weekend work required. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
