**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** As a Weaver Operator, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing of soft armor at our advanced materials facility in Charlotte. This position involves operating circuit looms, inspecting yarn, and ensuring product quality from start to finish. You will be responsible for identifying defects in fabric and collaborating with fixer apprentices to maintain production standards. Working primarily on air jet and Rapier looms, this role offers opportunities for growth and additional compensation for working in the carbon room. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate the weaver machine. + Thread needles by hand with precision. + Inspect products to ensure patterns are correct. + Identify and flag any defects or anomalies in the fabric. + Collaborate with fixer apprentices to address quality issues. **Essential Skills** + Attention to detail. + Ability to walk 4-7 miles and remain on feet for extended periods. + 3+ years of machine operating experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanically inclined. + General labor experience. + Mechanical assembly and production knowledge. + Machine operation and inspection skills. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values innovation and technological advancement in the composite and protective markets. You will work in an environment equipped with advanced looms, including air jet and Rapier looms. The role requires physical stamina, as you will be walking and standing for extended periods. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of CHARLOTTE, North Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
