Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the technical operation, set-up, basic adjustments, and performance levels of packaging and candy-making equipment. You will ensure the production of chocolate and candy products meets quality standards and contribute to the department's production success under the guidance of a Production Supervisor or Lead Person.
ResponsibilitiesCorrelate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.Operate packaging and processing equipment efficiently.Maintain clear, open, and positive communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.Follow company-established Sanitation/Quality Assurance/HACCP and GMP procedures to ensure product quality.Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.Maintain cleanliness of work area and machinery, performing specified cleaning at the end of product runs and shifts.Offer suggestions to management on improving efficiency, safety, and working conditions.Perform and record hourly metal detector checks, package verification checks, and weight checks.Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control as requested.Maintain flexibility to perform any other duties as needed.Essential SkillsFundamental knowledge to read work-related material and follow directions.Working knowledge of assigned areas acquired through 1 to 4 years of applicable experience.Understanding of mechanical components and/or electronic controls of equipment.Knowledge of chocolate composition and function and/or troubleshooting.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to perform as a team member and support co-workers, company policy, and production standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Production/Manufacturing experience preferred.Ability to stand 8 to 12 hours per day.Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility is well-maintained and comfortable, with PPE requirements including ear plugs, safety-toed shoes, jackets, and hair and beard nets. Although not climate-controlled, the environment remains comfortable. The facility produces various chocolate and candy products, similar to other well-known processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $47840.00/yr.
