Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Machine Operators for various shifts, including 2nd Shift Process Operators, Weekend Night Kitchen Process Operators, and Packaging Operators. The role involves overseeing packaging operations, technical setup, and adjustments of equipment used in chocolate manufacturing and candy making. You will work under the guidance of the Production Supervisor and contribute significantly to the department's production success.

ResponsibilitiesCorrelate production tallies with the Production Supervisor.Oversee packaging and processing operations.Maintain clear communication with the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.Follow established sanitation and quality assurance procedures to ensure product quality.Comply with company and OSHA safety policies.Maintain cleanliness of the work area and machinery, performing cleaning duties at the end of shifts.Offer suggestions for efficiency, safety, and improved working conditions.Perform and record hourly checks on metal detectors, package verification, and weight.Ensure lot traceability and assist in inventory control.Remain flexible to perform additional duties as needed, including various production roles.Essential SkillsAbility to read work-related material and follow directions.Working knowledge of assigned areas, acquired through 1 to 4 years of experience.Understanding of mechanical components and electronic controls of equipment.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to perform as a team member and support co-workers and production standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Preferred production/manufacturing experience.Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours per day.Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25-50lbs.Capability to see information in print form or electronically.Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $47840.00/yr.
