**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you'll engage in repetitive hand polishing and buffing operations on various parts using prescribed wheels and abrasives. You will set up polishing and buffing equipment, selecting the proper wheels and abrasives, and changing wheels and belts as specified. Your role includes loading, processing, and unloading parts from mechanical tumbling machines, monitoring tumbling media wear, and replacing it according to the production schedule or as needed. You will also handle parts from automated sandblast machines, monitor blasting media, and replace it as required. Additionally, you'll prepare finished parts for the next operation in the value stream and complete necessary documentation for the work completed. You will perform preventive maintenance activities, including daily equipment inspections, and maintain disciplined 6S checklist routines to ensure a safe and clean working environment. Frequently, you will need to lift, push, or pull weights ranging from 30 to 50 lbs., both below and above shoulder height. Occasionally, you will stoop, kneel, or bend for around 2 hours per day. You must be able to consistently operate a productivity machine for at least 6 hours per day and communicate effectively with other team members, both verbally and in writing. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Haven, Connecticut.M **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr.
