**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team, responsible for operating GMP machinery and ensuring efficient production runs. The role involves setting up machinery, identifying correct ingredients, and following standards and SOPs to produce high-quality products. **Responsibilities** + Operate GMP machinery and pilot production processes. + Check production schedules to determine variety and quantity for cooking. + Set up machinery for production runs. + Follow standards and SOPs diligently. + Identify correct ingredients and equipment needed for production runs. + Input information into touch screen panels, including raw material info, pump info, gauges, valves, and temperatures. + Feed cookers with raw materials such as starch, liquid flavors, sugar, corn syrup, and gelatin. + Use controls to regulate temperature, raw material amounts, speeds, and more. + Diagnose and assist in resolving mechanical issues with equipment, working closely with the maintenance team. + Operate forklifts to move materials efficiently. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in operating forklifts. + Experience in production and packaging processes. + Skill in machine operating and general production tasks. + Knowledge of GMP standards and food industry requirements. + Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance teams. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in high-speed packaging. + Experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry is preferred. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing company that invests significantly in both its plant and employees. Employees are required to dress in GMP attire, which is provided. You can wear jeans and a t-shirt underneath. Current shifts run from 10 AM to 6 PM on the first shift, with opportunities for overtime, especially when new products are being launched. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellwood, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
