**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Machine Operator, you will be tasked with operating CNC machinery, including Fin Punch Press and Expander machines, to produce high-quality metal parts. You will utilize blueprints and router information for precise setup of tooling and machinery, ensuring efficient operation and quality output. Your role will involve performing daily preventative maintenance tasks and safely using a variety of tools, adhering to lockout/tagout procedures for equipment safety. You will be responsible for using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, maintaining labels on materials, and ensuring proper segregation of materials on pallets.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate metal working equipment consistently and efficiently to produce quality parts.
+ Use blueprints and router information to accurately set up tooling and machines.
+ Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks on machinery.
+ Safely use electric, pneumatic, floor and hand tools, and identify/tag unsafe equipment with lockout/tagout procedures.
+ Utilize measuring equipment like calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
+ Troubleshoot machinery and perform die changeovers.
+ Maintain labels on materials, including type, gauge, width, and weight.
+ Secure each material on pallets, segregating them from other part numbers.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with CNC machinery, specifically Fin Punch Press and Expander machines, for 2-3 years.
+ Ability to read blueprints and perform machine setups.
+ Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
+ Skillful use of measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Active team member participation in continuous improvement activities.
+ Ability to understand basic math and read tape measures and blueprints.
+ Capability to safely use all tools after instruction.
+ Physical ability to lift, pull, and push 50 lbs.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a clean, safe, climate-controlled production facility. The company is expanding, adding another 150 jobs and a new building over the next year. The position is for the 2nd shift, ensuring a stable and secure work setting with a focus on teamwork.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
