Job Description

A manufacturer in the Eastern Indianapolis region is searching for multiple machine operators on 2nd and 3rd shift. The role involves operating various industrial machines, utilizing hand and power tools, and ensuring quality standards are met.

ResponsibilitiesOperate up to four industrial machines simultaneously.Use basic hand and power tools to change tooling.Utilize quality instruments to ensure parts meet quality specifications.Perform repetitive manual lifting and pushing of materials throughout the department.Ensure proper documentation of materials and batch numbers according to guidelines.Withstand heat and maintain physical stamina for 8 to 12 hours at a time.Essential Skills1 year of machine operating experience.Ability to withstand heat.Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Mechanical aptitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with blueprint reading.Familiarity with assembly processes.Knowledge of calipers, press operating, and laser operation.Troubleshooting skills.Experience with CNC and mechanical assembly.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean but hot facility, spanning 1 million square feet. Employees will undergo a 12- to 15-week training on 1st shift before transitioning to their designated shift. Shift hours are 1st shift: 6:30AM to 3:00PM Monday through Friday, 2nd shift: 2:30PM to 11:00PM Monday through Friday, and 3rd shift: 10:30PM to 7:00AM Sunday through Thursday. Overtime may extend shifts by 2 to 4 hours, with advanced notice for Saturday work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.
