Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our team as a machine operator, where you'll work with Formax Headers, a type of cold forming machine renowned for producing high-quality fasteners and parts with precision, speed, and efficient changeover capabilities. This role involves operating equipment, performing complex machine setups, and ensuring safe machine operations.

ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment and perform complex machine setups.Adjust and operate equipment safely as trained.Determine tooling adjustments needed for proper setups on multiple header sizes and types.Read and understand blueprints.Use gauges and other quality tools to ensure the production of quality parts.Perform first piece inspections and monitor the quality of all parts.Make adjustments to maintain quality standards.Perform minor preventative maintenance and complete all required tracking documents.Record data for SPC, ISO/IATF documentation.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of on-the-job machining experience (manual or automatic).Blueprint reading experience.Proficiency with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Mechanical aptitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsGood mechanical aptitude.Ability to perform basic math.GED or high school diploma is a plus.Experience running Formax Headers.Why Work Here?

This is a Permanent position based out of Belvidere, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $66560.00/yr.

Up to $36.00 per hour

3rd Shift Bonus $2.00 per hour

Sign on Bonus up to $3,000*

Training Bonus up to $1,000*
