Job Description
Join our dynamic production team where you will be operating machinery to manufacture high-quality products. You will work on a production floor with a team of experienced professionals, utilizing large kettles and milling machines to process the product. Your role will involve monitoring equipment, managing the flow of products, and ensuring efficient operation of the machinery. You will also prepare and repack containers, operate a forklift, and perform various tasks to maintain the production area.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor milling machines to ensure smooth productionScrape paint from mills into drums and prevent product jams.Prepare drums and repack containers based on customer requests.Lift and move containers weighing 30-50 lbs using a sit-down forklift.Perform miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing during slow periods.Use personal protective equipment as required.Follow instructions for processing and canning requirements.Ensure adherence to quality and testing procedures.Maintain cleanliness of work area.Notify supervisor before leaving the machine unattended.Essential SkillsExperience in production or machine operating (6+ months).Basic math skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfortable working in a hot environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious production experience.Experience in machine operating and working with chemicals.Forklift experience.Why Work Here

Work Environment
Work in a clean, organized production floor with a hot environment due to manufacturing processes. Follow a Monday to Friday schedule, training on 1st shift for 90 days. Wear mandatory safety equipment including vests, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses provided by the company. Enjoy a supportive team atmosphere with structured shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WEST CHICAGO, Illinois.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
