**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** Join an industry-leading manufacturer in the production of various automotive hoses and parts. Our facility in Suffield, CT is a full-cycle manufacturing plant, producing PTFE tubes and stainless steel braided hoses from raw materials. We serve the automotive, commercial, and industrial industries with high-quality, top-end parts. **Responsibilities** + Operate paste extrusion processes, blending Teflon powder with petroleum lube to create preform billets. + Manage cold and warm storage transitions for materials, ensuring accurate data entry and labeling. + Execute billet extrusion processes, utilizing conveyors and specific dies to form tubes, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and specifications. + Conduct winding and braiding operations, attaching spools and setting tension on wires to create braided hoses. + Complete hose processing through washing, storing, or cutting for bulk or additional processing. + Engage in twister operations, preparing large kits for braiding and winding, attaching fittings and hoses with industrial tools. + Perform melt extrusion operations, applying silicone jackets to hoses, ensuring quality checks and preparing for shipment. + Conduct post-sinter operations to strengthen tubing for aerospace and other industrial applications. + Perform pressure testing on tubes, wrapping with multiple layers of metal for enhanced durability. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing or industrial experience. + Proficiency in machine operation and mechanical aptitude. + Strong math skills with the ability to measure accurately. + Good work history with stable employment, no more than three jobs in one year. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical and math aptitude. + Open to entry-level candidates with a desire to work in manufacturing. **Why Work Here?** Experience immense room for growth and job stability as part of a rapidly expanding industry. Dress code includes jeans and t-shirts, transitioning to a company uniform upon permanent employment. Training may occur on 1st shift depending on role requirements. Shifts are structured as follows: Monday-Friday: 1st shift (6:00am-2:00pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm); Sunday-Thursday: 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffield, Connecticut **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr.
