Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated machine operators to join our team across 2nd and 3rd shifts. This role is essential to our expansion efforts, as you will be responsible for operating machinery that processes large spools of wire, primarily steel, to meet customer specifications. The wire is used in various applications, from construction staples to fine wire brushes.

ResponsibilitiesOperate digital controlled respooling and auxiliary machinery to produce quality products that meet customer expectations.Load raw materials, feed wire through machines, and remove finished products.Perform machinery changeover for different products and packages.Conduct quality welds using appropriate butt welders.Execute preventive maintenance on production and support equipment.Maintain accurate production and quality records using measurement tools.Understand product quality, delivery, and scrap measurements.Operate machinery efficiently and safely, adhering to safety procedures and policies.Keep work areas clean and organized for subsequent operators.Pass and maintain OSHA-approved Forklift Training and operate forklifts as part of daily tasks.Adjust equipment for optimum operation with guidance from management.Work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Participate in training, meetings, committees, and project teams as needed.Essential SkillsDemonstrate mechanical aptitude.Minimum of two years experience in an industrial facility with machine operation or production.Capable of performing simple calculations mentally and using calculators for complex mathematics.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with machine setup, welding, and safety protocols such as lockout-tagout.Capability to push, pull, roll items and lift up to 70 pounds regularly.Work Environment

Join a smaller, organized shop with roughly 12-15 employees on the 1st shift and 3-4 on the 2nd shift. We prioritize a clean and safe work environment typical of manufacturing settings. Safety-toed shoes and ear protection are required.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $49920.00/yr.
