Job Description

As an Operator I, you will play a vital role in maintaining high industry standards by producing quality products. You will be responsible for receiving raw materials, collaborating with quality control to test materials and products, blending high volume cellulose powder, packaging finished goods, and fostering a safe, productive, and quality-driven environment.

ResponsibilitiesMix high volume cellulose powder into a blender.Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency.Shut down and internally clean process equipment.Continuously monitor equipment and instrumentation safely with minimal guidance, including mills, blenders, shakers, PLCs, water systems, pumps, extruders/dispersers, forklifts, and hand trucks.Ensure all documentation complies with cGMP standards.Adhere to safety and quality protocols, including uniforms, hairnets, beard covers, safety glasses, hardhats, and hearing protection.Perform some equipment maintenance and improvements.Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities.Perform general tasks as guided by management, such as cleaning and disinfecting work areas.Essential SkillsMachine operating Proficient math skills.Mechanical aptitude.Ability to lift and move 50lbs regularly.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of job tenure per place of employment.High School Diploma or GED.Why Work Here?

Additionally, a $1/hr shift premium is provided for night shift permanent employees.

Work Environment

The facility is climate-controlled to maintain material specifications. The chosen candidate will work on the Starch line with openings for day and night shifts (6AM-6:30PM or 6PM-6:30AM) following a 2-2-3 schedule. The manufacturing environment is temperature-controlled, and you will work within a team of four, receiving responsibilities from the shift supervisor. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
