Job Description
As a Sinter Operator, you will be responsible for sintering and heat-treating pressed parts, as well as conducting in-process testing to ensure quality. This role involves operating complex machinery, adhering to stringent safety protocols, and maintaining accurate records of production data.
ResponsibilitiesOptimize safety and minimize risks.Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).Follow necessary safety precautions related to handling high-temperature materials up to 1200°C, flammable powders, hydrogen, material handling (lifting up to 50 lbs.), and nitrogen/argon gases.Read, understand, and follow work instructions and process control standards (PCS).Access relevant instructions through Paradigm, and recommend revisions as needed.Stack parts to set standards in sinter boats and foil packs, load furnaces, and select the correct checklist/program.Clean and organize machinery, equipment, and work areas.Perform required preventative maintenance and maintain inventory of foil packs and separators.Request reorder of consumables as needed.Operate tube furnaces, horizontal and vertical vacuum furnaces, vacuum storage tubes, in-process testing systems, wire brushes, and nitrogen boxes/lines.Follow checklists and operating procedures, ensuring jobs are separated and parts are cleaned before in-process inspection.Meet established quality standards and production rates.Accurately record data into ERP systems, manufacturing routers, logs, databases, and control charts.Conduct in-process inspections as required during production.Adhere to the escalation policy to address production issues promptly.Perform to the best of your ability to achieve assigned outputs, communicate with your manager if outputs are at risk, and seek guidance when necessary.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.One to two years of experience in a similar role preferred.Solid understanding of specific processes involving routine and diversified activities.Rigorous analysis and testing to complex standards in a laboratory setting.Attention to detail to avoid moderate material or time loss.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
