Machine Operator
**Machine Operator** Sultan, WA 1st or 2nd shift **Job Description** As a machine operator, you will be responsible for the first level of process machine operation. This role involves highly repetitive machine or process operation following prescribed routines or obvious methods of operation. You will follow demonstrated steps and perform simple adjustments to meet general specifications. The work typically involves operating machinery or equipment unique to the application, requiring on-the-job instructions rather than formal trade training. You will frequently handle moderate to heavy materials and may spend most of your time walking or standing. **Responsibilities** + Understand and decipher part numbers. + Follow work instructions, drawings, established quality standards, and safety protocols. + Meet defined production expectations for an inexperienced operator. + Differentiate between various sizes of subcomponents and finished products and their compounds and finishes. + Load and unload subcomponents using material handling tools and equipment. + Inspect each subcomponent for proper materials, dimensions, and finishes to meet quality standards. + Perform accurate and timely computer transactions. + Coordinate delivery to ensure production schedule is met. + Meet all company work schedule and attendance expectations and perform within the physical and environmental demands of the job. + Alert Lead or Manager to material shortages, quality, or safety issues. + Run dispatch list. + Keep work area clean and organized. + Participate in process improvement events, as directed. + Perform required operator maintenance. + Assist with other functions within the department, as directed. + Assist other departments with various duties and projects, as directed. + Attend required meetings. + Participate in physical inventories. + Perform safety audits. + Inspect and test completed product as required. + Carefully label parts with date, material type, size, part number, and job number. + Cut, bend, roll, or press materials to size and “kit” them together for delivery to the appropriate production area. + Inspect machine daily for leaks, report leaking machines, absorb spills, and prepare waste for disposal if part of the environmental safety team. **Essential Skills** + Machine operating + General labor + Assembly + Mechanical aptitude + Experience with plastic and mechanical components + Proficiency with power tools, CNC machines, micrometers, and press brakes + Mechanical troubleshooting + Ability to read blueprints + Experience with repetitive work + Hand tool proficiency + Tape measure usage + General production **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in running dispatch lists + Participation in process improvement events + Ability to assist with other departmental functions and projects + Experience in safety audits + Skill in labeling parts accurately + Experience with environmental safety tasks (if applicable) **Why Work Here?** Our company offers direct placement opportunities along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
