The Opportunity:  The Asitrade Misc. Support is responsible for assisting the operators and the utility support person on the Asitrade single-facer laminator and running the Asitrade bander.

Masterflute - Winston-Salem Manufacturing 

Schedule: 7pm to 7am

Pay Rate: $16.94 plus 0.50 cent shift diff 

 

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: 

Assist in preparing and mixing starch adhesive for wet end of laminator.Monitor and adjust starch adhesive as required.Assist the utility support person on stacking section to insure timely removal of finished stock.Fill in for utility support person on breaks and days absent.Assist the operators as required.Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.Overtime is required.Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

What you need to succeed: 

High school diploma or GED minimum                                     Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.   May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.               Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.                                          To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient Microsoft Office computer skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel.Requires the ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality products. Normal vision and ear protection (headsets) are required. Knowledge of corrugated board and litho lamination preferred. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
