Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
**Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator - 2nd Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating sleeving and packaging machines, ensuring product quality, and maintaining efficiency in production. **Responsibilities** + Follow procedures to operate and clean sleeving and packaging machines. + Ensure sleeves are properly placed on bottles by the machine and prevent bottle backup. + Verify correct date codes for daily production runs. + Communicate machine status and any quality issues with bottles to the supervisor or Plant Manager. + Relieve other Machine Operators during machine downtime or when reassigned to maintain departmental efficiency and production quality. + Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on machines promptly. + Report to the workstation on time and assist in setting up the work area while wearing proper work attire. + Pass the forklift exam. + Perform duties according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sanitization Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) that meet various safety and quality standards. + Conduct behavior in compliance with company policies. + Perform additional duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of machine operating experience. + 1+ years of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) experience. + Experience with packaging and filling machines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + GMP experience is preferred. + Ability to set up machines. **Why Work Here?** Our team is small and family-oriented, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The work environment requires adherence to GMP standards, including wearing hair nets, beard nets, smocks, and steel-toed shoes. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
