Machine Operator 2nd Shift
Role Summary:This role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating manual and CNC machinery to support the production of Flowserve products while upholding a zero-accident safety culture. The position involves setting up and running multiple work centers, using a variety of machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to produce quality parts to specification. The role requires reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, performing basic shop math, setting up tooling and fixturing, and completing all required documentation accurately. Maintaining an organized work area, staying current with required training, and applying departmental procedures are essential to ensuring consistent, high-quality manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:Understanding and buying into a zero-accident safety culture expectation Ensuring the efficient operation of machinery used in the production of Flowserve productsLearning and applying departmental policies and procedures to work assignmentsOperating machinery and hand tools which may include, manual and CNC machinery, deburring equipment and grinders, shot/glass bead blasting, heat treatment furnaces, band saw, abrasive sawProficiently operating multiple work centersAccurately measuring parts using tools such as, but not limited to:Outside micrometerInside micrometerDigital, and dial calipersScalesTape measureMaintaining an organized and safe work environmentAccurately completing all paperwork associated with tasks being performedKeeping up to date with all required trainings

Requirements:Typically, 1 – 3 years of experience doing similar workUnderstands and buys into a zero-accident safety culture expectationBasic shop math skills including arithmetic, conversion of fractions to decimalsAbility to read and interpret mechanical/production drawingsFor CNC equipment, a basic knowledge of G-Code or conversational programmingFor CNC equipment, ability to load and save programs; set and change tool and work offsetsAbility to set up fixturing and tooling on manual or CNC machines

Preferred:Experience working with cast materialsPrevious shop floor experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with basic rigging and use of overhead cranesKnowledge of machining methods, cutting tools, cutting qualities of metals

Site Specific Details:First shift positions Monday thru Friday, 06:30-1500Second shift hours Monday thru Friday, 14:45-23:15Overtime as required (required overtime will have 36-hour notice)
