Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
**Job Title: Machine Operator - 2nd Shift** Job Description Join our team as a Machine Operator responsible for producing food colors according to approved formulations and procedures. You will play a key role in meeting production goals within the production area. Responsibilities + Operate equipment such as the seed extractor, cookers, filtering press, various pumps, mixing equipment, evaporator, and forklift. + Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards in the production and warehouse areas. + Handle shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks. + Conduct in-process lab tests using scales, spectrometers, glassware, and pH meters. + Work with chemicals, including caustics and acids, safely and effectively. + Complete all necessary documentation and E1 transactions accurately. + Prepare product samples as required. + Collaborate in a team environment and work cooperatively with co-associates and leadership. + Participate actively in Continuous Improvement (CI) assignments. Essential Skills + Experience in production and machine operation. + Ability to perform general labor and production tasks. + Skill in packing and operating a forklift. + Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Forklift certification. + Experience working with chemicals and hot materials. + Ability to climb stairs and ladders. + Capability to stand and walk continuously throughout the day. + Maintain coordination and balance while handling up to 60 lbs. of materials and/or product continuously. Work Environment Work the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Thursday, and 12pm to 8:30pm on Friday, with training on the 1st shift from 7:30am to 4pm. The environment is climate-controlled, requiring GMP compliance including wearing hair nets, beard nets, smocks, steel toes, and safety glasses. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Port Washington, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr.
