**Position Summary:**
This role is responsible for building and testing Microfluidics product line. This consists of small lab machines and could scale up to large high production machines in the pharmaceutical and food industry. These machines are supplied globally and are installed onsite by our Field Service Team and so travel is not a requirement of this role.
**Reports To:** Production Leader
**Essential Functions:**
Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
+ Build precision parts for machine and aftermarket assemblies.
+ Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories using hand and power tools according to work specifications.
+ Read schematics of hydraulics and pneumatics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
+ Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations.
+ Inspect equipment/parts after machine has been built.
+ Work in compliance with the company’s health and safety and policies and procedures as well as ISO standards and procedures.
+ Mark, record and report defects including NCRs, as required.
+ Support FATs, customer visits and warranty issues as required
+ Other duties, as assigned

**Organizational Relationships:**
+ Must interface effectively and regularly with:
+ manufacturing employees as well as employees from other internal departments (ie. Engineering, Quality Control) as required

**Education and/or Experience:**
+ Grade 12 or equivalent
+ 3-5 years of experience in machine building, machining and/or assembly.
**Language Skills:**
+ Good written and verbal communications required.
**Computer Skills:**
+ Basic computer and Microsoft skills.
**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:**
+ Machinist, Millwright, Tool & Die Maker or Machine Tool Builder/Integrator certification is required.
**Other Qualifications:**
+ Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
+ Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
+ Good interpersonal skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
+ A strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.

+ Stand, Walk and/or Sit 50% of the time

+ Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Anything exceeding 40 pounds will be used with assisted lifting devices.

**Total Rewards**
The starting compensation for this position is $24.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
