**Job Title: Manual Machinist and Mechanical Assembler** Job Description Join a dynamic team of Mechanical and Electrical Technicians dedicated to building custom automation equipment. This role requires strong manual machinist skills and mechanical aptitude to assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and mechanisms effectively. Responsibilities + Work collaboratively with a team of Mechanical and Electrical Technicians to build custom automation equipment. + Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies, machine frames, safety guarding, and pneumatic & hydraulic circuits. + Fabricate machine guarding and framing from aluminum extrusion, polycarbonate sheet, and thin gauge sheet metal. + Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges regularly. + Apply best practices for mechanical systems, safety, and cleanliness. + Operate fork truck and/or pallet jack equipment as needed. + Collaborate with customers, engineering, management, and manufacturing personnel to provide innovative solutions. Essential Skills + Strong manual machinist skills with a preferred background in tolerance work. + Mechanical aptitude with 2-4 years of experience in assembling mechanical sub-assemblies. + Proficiency in reading machined part drawings independently. + Familiarity with components such as bearings, cams, linkages, pneumatic cylinders, and ball screws. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Working knowledge of pneumatics, bearings, slides, sensors, mechanical adjustments, dies, and tooling is preferred. + Blueprint reading, mechanical assembly, and fabrication skills. + Ability to lift 75 pounds and stand for 8 to 10 hours a day. + Effective communication and math skills. + Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize in a fast-paced, changing environment. + Punctuality, professionalism, and teamwork.
