Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. The position operates Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with optional Saturday shifts. This role involves dismantling, rebuilding, adjusting, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, painting, assembling, and adapting equipment for demonstration and/or development tests.
Responsibilities
Dismantle and rebuild machinery, ensuring all components are clean, repaired, and painted as needed.Read and interpret blueprints to disassemble and assemble machinery using hand and power tools.Fit and lay out mating parts of assemblies, and prepare parts for additional machining.Replace defective or worn parts and reassemble machinery, adjusting clearances and timing of control devices to specifications.Assemble, operate, disassemble, clean up, and reassemble all primary and auxiliary machinery as required.Set up and prepare equipment for operations, establishing rates as instructed.Operate all test machinery, record pertinent data, and conduct routine evaluations of sample materials.Modify components for tests to ensure successful demonstrations.Essential Skills
Proficiency in mechanical assembly and machine building.Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately.Experience with hand and power tools.General labor and mechanical assembly skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Open to entry-level mechanically inclined individuals.Experience in welding, pipefitting, automotive work, or military service is advantageous.Electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including schematic reading, is a plus.Installation experience and military veterans with secret clearance are highly valued.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $31.00/hr.
