**Job Title: Machine Builder**
**Job Description**
This role involves positioning machine bases and staging sub-assemblies for final assembly. You will coordinate machine base placement with other department space requirements and scheduling. Your expertise in positioning bases according to unit knowledge and blueprint drawings is crucial. The role requires using cranes and other devices to move and set materials, and final assembly of equipment per engineering drawings. You will assemble sub-assemblies using hand tools to build entire machines, conferring with engineers to resolve any issues encountered during the build. Additionally, you will troubleshoot newly assembled equipment at various stages to determine unforeseen problems, routinely practicing safety for yourself and your colleagues. Disassembling equipment and loading it onto trucks is also part of your responsibilities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Position machine bases and stage sub-assemblies for final assembly.
+ Coordinate machine base placement with department space requirements and scheduling.
+ Position bases according to unit knowledge and blueprint drawings.
+ Use cranes and other devices to move and set materials.
+ Perform final assembly of equipment per engineering drawings.
+ Assemble sub-assemblies using hand tools to build entire machines.
+ Collaborate with engineers to resolve build issues.
+ Troubleshoot newly assembled equipment to identify unforeseen problems.
+ Practice safety measures routinely.
+ Disassemble equipment and load onto trucks.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of machine build or related manufacturing/industrial part building experience.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading.
+ Experience with forklift and/or crane operation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Precise measuring abilities.
+ Welding experience.
+ Machine maintenance and repair experience.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Grand Ledge, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
