Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Machine Mechanic within a rebuilding and job shop, specializing in custom machine building. You will be responsible for evaluating machines, performing breakdowns and teardowns, determining root causes, problem-solving, and repairing and rebuilding equipment.

ResponsibilitiesConduct mechanical troubleshooting and repair of used packaging machines to ensure productivity.Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.Work with power tools including power drills and impacts.Read and interpret tape measures when necessary.Lift up to 50 pounds as part of the job duties.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, machine builder, or custom automotive mechanic/fabricator.Ability to work with verbal instructions and comprehend blueprints.Proficiency in hand and power tools.Expertise in machine troubleshooting and repair.Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, machine building, preventive maintenance, and pneumatics.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
