Job Description

This is a 1st shift Machine Build Supervisor position requiring a minimum of 5x10's, with additional work on Saturdays as needed. The supervisor will be responsible for skilled fitting and assembly of machined and/or purchased components involving a wide variety of hand and machine operations. They will drive continuous improvement by effectively assigning and delegating work to ensure production schedules are met.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled fitting and assembly of components.Drive continuous improvement and assign tasks to meet production schedules.Ensure proper training of new hires and participate in the interviewing process.Provide feedback during performance reviews and manage time-off requests.Collaborate with Human Resources on employee issues.Create Build Plans and coordinate labor with team leads.Set daily production goals and hold teams accountable.Oversee the training of new machine builders using a training checklist.Hold daily team meetings and collect, analyze, and present data for SQDC boards.

Essential Skills

5-10+ years of machine building experience with knowledge of blueprints and schematics.Previous supervision experience leading a team or mentoring employees.Strong communication skills across all levels.Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends.Proficiency in Excel, Word, and email.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with blueprint reading and troubleshooting.Assembly and machining skills.Experience in machine building and managing people.

This is a custom machine builder located in a clean, two-shift facility. Products are built in-house from the fab shop to CNC department, then to machine build and paint.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
