Job Description
This position involves producing plastic sheet products through various extrusion machines according to customer specifications. Key tasks include startup/shutdown procedures, troubleshooting, quality control inspections, proper packaging, material handling, and training. The production process is continuous, with machines operating non-stop for up to two weeks before requiring cleaning or color changes. Machine operators are responsible for monitoring the machinery and taking measurements every two hours. Additionally, operators will use a forklift to move pallets approximately every 45 minutes.
Responsibilities
Operate extrusion machines to produce plastic sheet products according to specifications.Perform startup and shutdown procedures as needed.Conduct troubleshooting and quality control inspections.Ensure proper packaging and material handling.Monitor machines continuously and take measurements every two hours.Use a forklift to pull pallets off the line approximately every 45 minutes.Walk up and down the machine to ensure operations are running smoothly.Essential Skills
1-2 years of machine operating experience.Ability to lift 40-50 lbs regularly.Willingness to learn forklift operation if not already experienced.Additional Skills & Qualifications
