Job Title: Machine Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled assembler for our location in South Bend, IN. This role involves working at heights and requires the ability to climb ladders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fastening joints and seams in sheet metal using fasteners and drivers, ensuring all work aligns with quality specifications and safety guidelines. Experience in a team environment and experience in construction are advantageous for this position.

Responsibilities

Screw sheet metal panels togetherInstall insulationUse power tools such as drills, grinders, and plasma cutting equipmentLay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on materialsUtilize calculators and tape measuresFasten seams and joints together with bolts, rivets, caulks, and metal drive clips to assemble components into productsDrill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivetsAssemble and fit pre-fabricated parts to form subassembliesMaintain cleanliness of the work area

Essential Skills

Proficiency in assembly, sheet metal, and use of hand and power toolsExperience with mechanical assembly and constructionAbility to read tape measures, levels, and squaresCapability to lift up to 40 poundsPossession of steel-toed boots and a basic set of hand tools, or ability to acquire them within two weeks of starting

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
