Job Description
Join a dynamic team in the manufacturing of plastic products within the blown film industry. Our facility is located in Hudson, WI, where we produce plastic that holds magazines, wraps hay bales, and secures furniture or appliances. Serving industries such as Agriculture, Medical, and Manufacturing, we are looking for motivated individuals to assist in running one of our three blown film lines. This role is labor-intensive and fast-paced, offering a great opportunity for growth.
ResponsibilitiesOperate, load, and palletize large plastic rolls into smaller sizes.Utilize shaft hoists for core loading, taping, and tagging.Handle rolls and manage packaging and palletizing processes.Replace trims and switch barrels containing products.Conduct quality control by identifying defective products.Load and maintain the scrap conveyor system.Label, box, and load 50-pound plastic rolls.Change out cutting knives on machines.Ensure correct counts and specifications for rolls of film and supplies.Notify leads or supervisors of production defects.Assist in changeovers or setting up production lines.Maintain a safe and clean workplace.Sustain productivity and quality standards.Follow all OSHA requirements and standards.Essential SkillsGeneral labor experience in an industrial environment.Machine operation and packaging proficiency.Experience with blown film, plastics extrusion, and injection.Proficient with hand tools and basic math skills.Ability to work with automated manufacturing equipment.Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8-12 hours during shifts.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum one year of experience in an industrial environment preferred.Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including every other weekend.Essential reading and writing skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our work environment is fast-paced, with rapidly changing priorities requiring multitasking. The facility is not climate-controlled, as the resin beads need heat to melt, resulting in warmer conditions during summer. However, the workspace remains very clean and updated, providing a supportive environment for growth and development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
