About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Mac Systems Engineer to manage and support macOS devices at enterprise scale. You’ll own our Mac device management strategy, with a strong focus on Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune integration, automation, and security. This role partners closely with Marketing, Development, Security, and IT teams to deliver a seamless Mac user experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mac Device Management & Support

Provide advanced support for macOS devices across the enterprise, with a strong focus on Marketing and Development user groups. Troubleshoot complex Mac-related hardware, OS, software, and network issues. Ensure a consistent, secure, and high performance experience for all Mac users.

2. Jamf Pro Administration

Administer, configure, and optimize Jamf Pro for enterprise level device management. Develop and maintain policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, and inventory management routines. Automate Mac enrollment and provisioning workflows using DEP/ABM, Jamf Connect, and Jamf Enrollment Customizations. Implement and manage patch management through Jamf Pro, including custom patch workflows where necessary.

3. Integration with Microsoft Intune

Design and maintain seamless integration between Jamf Pro and Intune for compliance, device state reporting, and conditional access. Manage compliance policies, configuration baselines, and security standards for macOS in Intune. Collaborate with the security and identity teams to ensure compliance across the hybrid management ecosystem.

4. Imaging, Provisioning & Lifecycle Management

Develop and maintain a robust macOS provisioning strategy through automated, zero touch deployment. Standardize imaging (or modern imaging alternatives), setup workflows, and onboarding processes. Create and maintain lifecycle management processes including provisioning, patching, upgrades, device refresh, and secure decommissioning. Work with teams to plan OS update cycles and ensure compatibility with business applications.

5. Application Packaging & Delivery

Package and deploy macOS applications through Jamf Pro and Autopkg workflows. Ensure applications are securely signed, version controlled, and deployed with minimal user impact. Maintain a modern application delivery pipeline aligned with DevOps/automation standards.

6. Security, Compliance & Best Practices

Implement macOS security baselines, encryption (FileVault), compliance policies, and monitoring. Collaborate with security teams to ensure alignment with corporate cybersecurity frameworks. Maintain logs, documentation, and visibility into device inventory, configuration states, and patch status.

7. Collaboration & Documentation

Partner closely with Marketing, Development, Security, Network, and Windows endpoint teams. Create and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, policies, and user guides. Provide technical expertise for Mac related projects, upgrades, and enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications

5-7 years of enterprise level Mac engineering or support experience. Strong hands on experience with Jamf Pro administration. Experience integrating Jamf with Microsoft Intune. Deep understanding of macOS architecture, MDM frameworks, and Apple ecosystem tools (ABM, DEP, VPP). Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or zsh. Strong troubleshooting skills in large, distributed environments.
