**MAC SUPPORT TECHNICIAN**
**SHORT-TERM CONTRACT ONLY.**
**ONSITE IN BOSTON.**
We are seeking a skilled and proactive **MAC and JAMF Technical Support & Rollout Specialist** to support and manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Apple devices across our educational institution. This role will play a key part in ensuring a seamless technology experience for students, faculty, and staff, with a strong emphasis on **Apple School Manager** , **JAMF Pro** , and **macOS/iOS environments** .
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and support the **rollout of Apple devices** (MacBooks, iPads) across campus.
+ Administer and maintain **JAMF Pro** for device enrollment, configuration, and policy enforcement.
+ Integrate and manage **Apple School Manager** for streamlined device provisioning and user management.
+ Provide **Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support** for macOS and iOS devices.
+ Collaborate with instructional technology teams to ensure devices meet curriculum needs.
+ Develop and maintain **documentation** for device setup, user guides, and support procedures.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot device performance, security compliance, and software updates.
+ Train staff and faculty on best practices for using Apple devices in an educational setting.
+ Participate in planning and executing **technology refresh cycles** and **summer rollouts** .
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 2+ years of experience in **Apple device management** in an enterprise or educational setting.
+ Proficiency with **JAMF Pro** , including policies, profiles, and scripting.
+ Experience with **Apple School Manager** and its integration with MDM solutions.
+ Strong knowledge of **macOS, iOS, and Apple hardware** .
+ Familiarity with **networking fundamentals** , especially in relation to Apple devices.
+ Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ JAMF 200 or 300 certification.
+ Experience in **K–12 or higher education** IT environments.
+ Knowledge of **Google Workspace for Education** or **Microsoft 365** .
+ Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and deployment tasks.
