Northrop Grumman is currently looking for an experienced **M&S Software Process & Build Engineer level 2 or 3** to work with our Modeling and Simulation team (M&S). The successful candidate will work with the modeling and simulation team across projects to assure value-added implementation of our CM process, and to achieve and maintain a standardized build system for the team. The candidate will coordinate with other software teams for DevSecOps implementation and execution, and on CI/CD development and maintenance. This engineer will also be responsible for guiding the delivery process of all deliverables of the M&S team. The candidate will work with functional management to assist in optimizing and implementing AGILE processes. The candidate will also work to train other team members to proficiency in relevant tasks. There will likely be some opportunity for technical work in software development, analysis, and systems engineering, but the above roles will be the candidate’s primary responsibility.
**Basic Qualifications for a M&S Software Process & Build Engineer - (Level 02):**
+ BS degree in software engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, systems engineering, or a related field is required with 2 years of experience or an MS degree in areas above is required.
+ Experience using git as a configuration management tool
+ Proficiency in using CMake for building software products
+ Experience working on DoD contracts with CDRLs, including developing and maintaining technical documentation
+ Experience with AGILE SW process management or CMMI
+ Knowledge and experience in building and deploying containerized applications.
+ Experience with one or more of the following: Software development in C++ or C, Multithreaded applications, CAMEO or other SYSML tool, or Weapon system Modeling and Simulation
+ **“Must*** have at least an interim Secret level clearance at start. Must be able to obtain a SAP level clearance.”

+ BS degree in software engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, systems engineering, or a related field is required with 5 years of experience or an MS degree in areas above with 3 year of experience is required.
+ Experience using git as a configuration management tool
+ Proficiency in using CMake for building software products
+ Experience working on DoD contracts with CDRLs, including developing and maintaining technical documentation
+ Experience with AGILE SW process and CMMI
+ Knowledge and experience in building and deploying containerized applications.
+ Experience in one of the following: (Software development in C++ or C, Multithreaded applications, CAMEO or other SYSML tool, or Weapon system Modeling and Simulation)
+ **“Must*** have at least an interim Secret level clearance at start. Must be able to obtain a SAP level clearance.”
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience in developing or working with a CI/CD pipeline (strongly preferred)
+ Leadership experience
+ Additional experience in DevOps (strongly preferred)
+ Experience with Jenkins
+ Siemens Team Center PLM (EPLM) tool
+ Multiple software configuration management tools
+ Previous experience working on Agile programs
+ Experience working with an HPC system
+ Experience with hardware in the loop systems
+ Experience in estimating/planning budget and schedule, and in tracking to that plan. Specific experience in doing so via an agile paradigm is strongly preferred.
+ Experience working with containerization of SW products
+ Experience working on SW for weapon systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
