Job Title: Lull Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Lull Operator to support daily operations involving the transportation, sorting, and unloading of materials and equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine fueling of the lull to ensure uninterrupted operation throughout the day.Conduct pre-operation inspections to verify equipment functionality, fluid levels, tire condition, and safety features.Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.Operate the lull to assist with sorting and picking materials from staging areas or delivery zones.Collaborate with team members to organize materials based on project needs, ensuring accurate placement and accessibility.Safely unload incoming shipments from vendors using the lull.Dismount equipment when necessary to manually reposition or reorganize materials to optimize unloading efficiency and safety.Communicate with vendors and site personnel to coordinate delivery timing and placement.Use the lull to unload scissor lifts and related equipment from transport vehicles.Assist in staging and securing lifts in designated areas, occasionally requiring manual handling to ensure proper alignment and safety compliance.Demonstrate 'soft hands' operation—exercising care, precision, and spatial awareness to prevent tipping, damage, or unsafe conditions.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all site safety protocols and equipment handling standards.Remain vigilant and responsive to dynamic site conditions, adjusting operations as needed to mitigate risk.

Essential Skills

Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety.Experience operating a lull or similar telehandler equipment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Comfortable with physical tasks and occasional manual material handling.Clear communication skills and a proactive mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certification in operating heavy equipment is advantageous.Experience in general labor and construction projects.

Work Environment

Work on commercial construction projects, primarily from 8 AM to 4 PM. The role involves handling heavy equipment and occasional manual tasks within a team-oriented environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
