LPN- Per Diem- Day and Night shifts available!
Horizon Health is seeking a full time LPN to join our team at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City, OK.
Under the supervision and/or direction of the Staff Nurse or Charge Nurse, the psychiatric Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the delivery of nursing care consistent with the treatment plan. Additionally, he/she is responsible for concise documentation for an assigned group of patients.
Responsibilities:
Restore and promote patient’s health by completing the nursing processObserve patients and reports/records their medical and physical condition appropriately Attend to patient personal needs (oral hygiene, toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.) as requiredAssist with ambulating and lifting patients as neededObtain patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature and respirationAs needed, and using approved methods, assist in safely placing patients in seclusion or restraints; observe suicide/seclusion precautions; including physical requirements for physical holds and safe transport of patientsAssist Medical Director and registered nursesAdminister medications and/or injections as neededFollow voluntary and involuntary procedure/processInterpret the nursing and treatment needs of the patient to nonclinical staff assigned to the patientInsure patient dignity and respect patient valuesEstablish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families and friendsMaintain patient privacy and confidentiality; and protects operations by keeping patient and program information confidentialOperate within ethical standards
