Low Voltage Technicians Needed ASAP, OT Available
**Job Title: Technician** **Job Description** This role involves the installation and maintenance of systems including Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Security, Access Control, and Wireless Systems. **Responsibilities** + Install low-voltage cabling such as voice, data, security, paging, nurse-call systems, and fiber optic. + Perform cross-connect cable operations. + Conduct fiber splicing and termination. + Terminate cables according to color codes. + Test for polarity, connectivity, and properly organize racks and patch panels. + Set up computer rooms efficiently. + Process paperwork accurately, neatly, and in a timely manner. + Maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. + Install pathways and cabling. + Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge. + Anticipate equipment, procedures, and training for upcoming tasks. + Demonstrate the ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size. + Lead small crews when necessary. + Enforce a safe jobsite and maintain compliance with company safety and OSHA standards. + Install and terminate peripheral devices. **Essential Skills** + Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. + Experience with low voltage systems. + Proficiency in installation, service, and repair of systems. + Knowledge of Cat5, Cat6, and fiber splicing. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to bend, lift, and carry equipment regularly. + Capability to work in tight spaces and perform installations. + Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required. + Ability to terminate cables according to color codes. + Experience climbing ladders (minimum 6’) and performing extended overhead cabling/wiring. + Skill in gripping, pushing, and pulling cables. + Ability to drive to job sites and handle tools and material supplies. + Willingness to travel out of state, including potential airline travel. + Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. **Why Work Here?** Join an employee-owned company where your contributions are valued and rewarded.
