Job Description
As an low voltage technician, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of various systems, including Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.
Responsibilities
Install low-voltage cabling such as voice, data, security, paging, nurse-call systems, and fiber optic.Cross connect cables and perform fiber splicing and termination.Terminate cables according to color codes and test for polarity and connectivity.Set up computer rooms and process paperwork accurately and timely.Maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.Install pathways and cabling, and analyze blueprints for job site knowledge.Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training needs.Install and terminate peripheral devices.Essential Skills
Electrical, Mechanical, and Troubleshooting skills.Experience with low voltage installations and Cat5 and Cat6 cabling.Proficiency in fiber splicing, cabling, repair, assembly, service, construction, and installation.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
