Low Voltage Technician
Job Title: Low Voltage Technician

Job Description

The Low Voltage Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, audio/visual systems, telecommunications, and networking. This position requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients. The technician will work remotely, completing low voltage system installations in the Waukesha/Milwaukee and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

Execute the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems.Ensure proper installation of security systems, fire alarms, audio/visual systems, telecommunications, and networking.Lead a team and collaborate effectively with clients to meet project goals.Inspect and ensure the quality of installations and maintenance work.Pull data cables and wires as required for system installations.Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times.

Essential Skills

3+ years of experience in the installation and service of Structured Cabling, Video Surveillance, Access Control, or Nurse Call.1+ years of experience in the installation and service of Fire Alarm Systems.Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.Good writing and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Self-starter with initiative and drive.Willingness to learn new systems and take on complex technology projects.Ability to collaborate with other trades and contractors on multi-disciplinary projects.Willingness to travel within the region and out of state for projects with prior notice.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
