Low Voltage Technician
Job Title: Low Voltage Lead TechnicianJob Description

The Low Voltage Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, audio/visual systems, telecommunications, and networking. This position requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients. The lead technician will work remotely, completing low voltage system installations in Fargo and surrounding areas.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and execute installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems.Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.Perform structured cabling for new construction or MAC work.Complete terminations for CAT 5E/CAT 6 and Fiber.Install and maintain access controls, including door contacts, lock mechanisms, mag locks, and sensors.Install and maintain video surveillance systems, including cameras and DVRs.Install alarm panels and associated sensors and modems.Collaborate with other trades and contractors on multi-disciplinary projects.Travel within the region and out of state to complete projects for national clients as needed.
Essential Skills3+ years of experience in the installation and service of Structured Cabling, Video Surveillance, Access Control, or Nurse Call systems.1+ years of experience in the installation and service of Fire Alarm Systems.Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.Strong writing and communication skills.Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills & QualificationsSelf-starter with initiative and drive.Willingness to learn new systems and take on complex technology projects.Ability to work with little to no supervision.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
