**Job Title: Low Voltage Technician**
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians with a minimum of 2 years of commercial experience. The role requires proficiency in handling cat 5 and cat 6 wires, including cable pulling, terminations, running wires, installing devices, and managing access controls and telecom systems.
Responsibilities
+ Install and terminate cat 5 and cat 6 cables.
+ Pull cables and run wires efficiently.
+ Install devices and access controls.
+ Run speaker wires for telecom systems.
+ Work predominantly in schools and government facilities, including both new constructions and remodels.
Essential Skills
+ At least 2 years of commercial experience in low voltage systems.
+ Proficiency with cat 5, cat 6, and cat 5e wires.
+ Experience in construction, installation, and termination processes.
+ Skilled in using hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Willingness to comply with a prescreening background check.
+ Comfortable driving personal vehicle to various jobsites across Hampton Roads.

Work Environment
The work environment requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including boots, vests, hard hats, and glasses. The position operates Monday through Friday, with work sites located throughout Hampton Roads.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $27.00/hr.
