GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Health, Division of Healthcare Financing, is seeking applicants for the position of Records & Data Management Analyst located in the Client Services Section for the Long Term Care (LTC) Eligibility. This position provides assistance to the Long Term Care Eligibility Unit by determining eligibility for a partial caseload, work reports, correcting any eligibility data errors, updating the Operations and Procedures Manual, and following up on complaints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level.
+ Provides customer service to the public, clients, and staff and acts as a resource to co-workers, customers, and/or clients.
+ Reviews monthly reports for LTC programs, researches cases, and identifies issues and patterns to help mitigate errors.
+ Explains policies, procedures, and practices to other agencies, government officials, clients or outside groups.
+ Process applications and renewals for LTC programs.
+ Assist LTC Unit staff as needed to assure timely completion of day-to-day activities as well as special projects.
+ May coordinate a program of records or data management which is agency, program, or project specific.
+ Make recommendations with regard to policy and procedural issues.
+ Compiles data and performs statistical analysis duties.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference is given to candidates with a Bachelor's Degree and 0-3 years of experience, or those with 4-6 years of experience, provided the work history is progressive (typically in Benefits and Eligibility) and demonstrates knowledge at the level of a Senior Benefits and Eligibility Specialist.
KNOWLEDGE:
+ Knowledge of state and federal government functions, procedures, concepts, principles, and practices of professional healthcare administration.
+ Knowledge of office work procedures, standards, and practices.
+ Knowledge of basic statistical compilation and analysis.
+ Ability to comprehend federal regulations, state statutes, program rules, and policy and to interpret and integrate into legislation, statute, and policy.
+ Ability to examine data and reports for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with regulations.
+ Skill in interpersonal relations, oral and written communication skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
+ Skill and ability to work independently.
+ Skill in organization and planning.
+ Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.

+ The employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.

+ The Wyoming Department of Health is anE-Verify (https://www.e-verify.gov/) employer.
+ This position is an At-Will Employment Contract (AWEC) and includes a single Health Insurance plan. This position pays for actual hours worked and is limited to 40 hours per week. The position does not include paid vacation time, paid sick time, paid holidays, family health insurance, retirement, or other benefits. These items are not negotiable by the hiring manager.
