**Description** SAIC is currently hiring for a **Logistics Support** in Indianapolis, IN. This position is full time and in person. **Job Duties:** + Researching and identifying potential suppliers, assessing their quality, reliability, and pricing. + Preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, bids, and allocating bank statements. + Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers. + Generate and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and production records. This includes compiling weekly status reports and ensuring compliance with procurement requirements. + Oversee receiving, and distribution of materials to ensure that production processes run smoothly. + Work closely with various departments, including production, logistics and engineering to coordinate the efficient flow of materials and ensure that all departments have the necessary resources. + Prepare and manage shipping schedules, evaluate production schedules and determine material requirements to ensure availability. + Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. **Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience:** + High school degree with five (5) years of experience. + Procurement or accounting experience required. + Excellent communications skills; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Excellent Microsoft Office experience. + Materials management, Customer focused, Cash handling, Shipping/Receiving. **Required Security Clearance:** + No security clearance is required but must be able to pass a background screen. + US Citizenship required.
