Job Title: Logistics Specialist (Relay - Tempe)

Job Description

Join an essential team dedicated to optimizing cross-border freight movement, focusing on drayage operations, which involves short-distance freight transport. This role requires managing and overseeing the movement of goods across international borders such as the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

ResponsibilitiesManage cross-border freight movement, ensuring compliance and efficiency.Coordinate drayage operations, focusing on short-haul trucking from ports or border crossings to fulfillment centers or warehouses.Act as a central point for resolving transportation issues involving carriers, vendors, and internal teams.Ensure loads are visible on the app using Excel and portals.Manage disruptions on the portal.Run reports to analyze container movement and identify delays.Track containers in your region and report verbally on issues within your scope.Conduct deep dives into container information and present findings.Work with Excel for tracking containers, utilizing pivots and vlookups.Communicate effectively via Chime, Slack, email, and bridges.Handle individual workloads with an assigned volume and book of business.Move containers across the supply chain line, track data, and identify nuances.Essential SkillsStrong computer literacy skills, particularly in Excel.Problem-solving capabilities and proactive thinking.Back ground in operations support, logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight, third-party logistics, and vendor management.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience supporting logistics, preferably in account management or vendor management roles.Customer/account management experience handling customer accounts is beneficial if logistics experience is not available.Expertise in MS Access and SQL is a plus.Experience in manufacturing transportation customer service and/or distribution environments.Data management and data quality control experience, including pulling and analyzing large data sets.Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.Self-starter who enjoys working with data and spotting trends.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
