Job Description
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and executing customer vehicle relocation service orders and supporting business operations. This role requires effective communication through email and telephone with staff, independent contractors, and pickup and delivery contacts, as well as maintaining accurate data in CRM systems.
Responsibilities
Manage the execution of customer orders, ensuring timely coordination and scheduling of vehicle pickups and deliveries while following customer instructions precisely.Oversee the accurate and timely completion of additional services such as vehicle detailing, titling/registration, and vehicle storage placement.Communicate promptly via email, telephone, and CRM with staff, independent contractors, and delivery contacts, escalating issues to management as needed.Update CRM activities and notes promptly, maintaining accurate data after each communication, including uploading photos and scanned documents.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as adherence to applicable DOT regulations and Federal, State, and Local laws.Calculate and offer flat fees on orders when directed by management, by emailing the bid sheet to all independent contractors.Manage the storage facility, if applicable, by overseeing vehicle inflow and outflow using VIN and order verifications.Check vehicles in and out, noting any damages and issues, and taking inventory of any items left in vehicles.Move vehicles in and out of the lot, ensuring vehicles are staged appropriately for pickup by drivers.Account for all cars on the lot, ensuring vehicles are operational and communicating issues to headquarters for resolution.Essential Skills
Ability to learn and utilize all company systems and equipment, including updates and upgrades.Provide exceptional customer service and keep customers informed of order developments.Monitor and manage team dashboard to keep orders moving efficiently.Demonstrate effective time management and follow-through to completion.Respond confidently, assertively, and decisively, taking responsibility and accountability for position requirements.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma required.Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment, multitasking and maintaining attention to detail.Experience managing multiple projects with high accuracy.Advanced computer skills, including strong Microsoft Office Excel, data entry, and CRM experience.Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience; inventory experience is a plus.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Work Environment
This position is on-site with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role offers the opportunity to work for a fast-growing fleet transport company, with potential for growth and development in a women-owned business. The environment is fast-paced, requiring comfort in communicating with independent contractors to assign orders and serve as their main point of contact.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
