The Logistics Specialist is responsible for maintaining component parts inventory by utilizing the Server eKanban System. This role involves daily analysis of all abnormal conditions in the supply chain from suppliers to the plant, developing and monitoring KPIs, operating procedures, and project schedules. Additionally, the Logistics Specialist manages inventory to meet Build Out and Start Up targets with zero impact on production and partners with both external and internal logistics groups to reduce internal part shortages and overflow. The position also requires requesting and monitoring recovery of abnormal conditions that occur in the supply chain, and consistent collaboration with the engineering department on the production floor.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain component parts inventory using Server eKanban System.Perform daily analysis of abnormal supply chain conditions from suppliers to plant.Develop, visualize, and monitor KPIs, operating procedures, and project schedules.Manage inventory to meet Build Out and Start Up targets with no impact on production.Partner with logistics groups to reduce internal part shortages and overflow.Request and monitor recovery of abnormal supply chain conditions.Collaborate with the engineering department on the production floor.Essential SkillsProficient in Inventory Management.Expertise in logistics analysis and management.Experience with material flow and manufacturing flow.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables.Experience with supply chain and data management systems.Proficiency in analytics and mathematics.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging, Mathematics, IT, or Technology.Experience with Power BI.Work EnvironmentThis position covers North American part ordering, including 360 suppliers, 8,000 part numbers, and 6 specialists. Work will be conducted on the production floor and in an open pit environment. The role supports production and requires availability for overtime when needed. The start time may be flexible, but the individual must be available at 6 AM and work a standard 10-hour day, Monday through Friday. Employees have access to a training building on-site for additional courses and skill development. Benefits include two weeks of PTO, two weeks of paid shutdown, and nine paid holidays per year.
