Our client, a leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be an integral part of the logistics department supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Southfield, MI

Pay Range: $18-$22/hr depending on experience 

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with OT as needed; rotating weekend on-call

What's the Job?

Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into our clients systems.  Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; inform receivers and customers about load status Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure timely arrivals Take check calls from drivers to confirm on-time deliveries and validate load data prior to marking loads as delivered Plan weekly schedules for each plant and provide detailed routing instructions to drivers

What's Needed?

High school diploma or equivalent Experience in high-volume correspondence and logistics support Ability to work effectively within a team environment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to understand and apply instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
