Logistics Specialist
Job Title: Logistics SpecialistJob Description The Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing customer vehicle relocation services orders and supporting business operations. Key activities include customer order management, execution, and effective communication through email and telephone with staff, Independent Contractors (ICs), and pickup and delivery contacts. The role requires maintaining accurate data in each order tracked in the CRM system. Responsibilities + Manage execution of customer orders, ensuring timely coordination and scheduling of vehicle pickups and deliveries. + Ensure efficient execution of orders by linking multiple orders and overseeing additional services like vehicle detailing, titling/registration, and storage placement. + Communicate promptly via email, telephone, and CRM with relevant parties, escalating issues to management when necessary. + Update CRM activities and notes immediately, maintain accurate data, and upload necessary photos and scanned documents. + Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable DOT regulations and laws. + Calculate and offer flat fees on orders in the manager's absence, using bid sheets sent to all ICs. + Manage storage facility operations, track vehicle movement, and maintain inventory using VIN and order verifications. + Check in vehicles, review for damage, take inventory of items left in vehicles, and move vehicles in and out of the lot. + Ensure all cars are accounted for in the lot and communicate any starting issues for resolution before reactivation. Essential Skills + High School Diploma + Ability to learn and utilize all company systems and equipment. + Outstanding customer service skills and ability to provide up-to-date information. + Time management skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently. + Confidence, assertiveness, and decisiveness with a sense of responsibility and accountability. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment while multi-tasking. + Detail-oriented with strong communication skills both verbal and written. + Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, data entry, CRM, and typing skills of at least 37 WPM. + 6 months of customer service experience; inventory experience is a plus. + Ability to manage several concurrent projects with high attention to detail and accuracy. Work Environment This position is onsite and operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring effective communication and coordination with independent contractors (truck drivers) as the main point of contact. The role offers opportunities for growth and is part of a women-owned, fast-growing fleet transport company. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
